The HIVE Mini 9 draws its 9 kW from three of these 3 kW elements. When one reaches the end of its useful life, HUUM's answer is a new element rather than a new heater.

The swap

With the power off at the breaker, lift out enough stones to reach the element. When you refill, HUUM asks for stones set between the elements, supporting them and keeping them apart without bending them, and for the elements to end up fully covered. A HIVE Mini holds 331 lb (150 kg) of 2 to 4 in stones. If your heater predates 2025 and has no air tunnel, HUUM's air tunnel helps keep elements from overheating. Wiring is licensed electrician work.
