UKU Spare Door Sensor
The replacement door sensor and magnet for HUUM UKU control systems. It tells the UKU when the sauna door is open, and the UKU stops heating.
The UKU door sensor tells the controller whether the sauna door is shut. Open the door during a heating cycle and the UKU switches the heater off within 5 to 10 seconds, showing "Door open" on the panel. Close it again and heating carries on.
Installing it
HUUM's UKU manual puts the sensor on the handle side of the door frame, no more than 16 in from the floor; mounted higher, heat can affect how the magnet performs. For a recessed install, drill a 13/64 in hole. The magnet goes on the door leaf, slightly offset from the sensor, with no more than 13/32 in between them when the door is closed. The cable run to the main module can't exceed 32 ft, connecting at terminals O1 and O2.
More than a safety switch
The UKU can switch on a connected sauna light or vent fan for 10, 15 or 20 minutes when the door opens. And after you confirm the sauna is safe for a remote start from the app, the UKU treats it as safe only until someone opens the door again.
Check your UKU version
HUUM's UKU 4.2 uses its own door sensor kit (HUUM part SP0167), installed differently. If you have a 4.2 system, this isn't your part.
