UKU Temperature Sensor
The replacement temperature sensor for HUUM UKU control systems. It reads the sauna temperature for the UKU and carries its overheating protection.
This is the temperature sensor for HUUM's UKU sauna control system. It sits on the sauna wall, reports the room temperature to the UKU main module, and includes the system's overheating protection.
When it needs replacing
HUUM's UKU manual gives a clear order of checks when the panel shows ""Temperature sensor error"": check the cable connections at the sensor and at the main module, then test the sensor on a shorter cable to rule out the wire. The final test is resistance, which should read about 1.1 kOhm at 68°F (20°C). No resistance means the sensor is damaged and needs replacing. If the overheating protection trips at 266°F (130°C), HUUM treats the sensor as permanently damaged. Inspect the sauna before replacing it.
Where it goes
Not above the heater. HUUM specifies 20 in from the heater's outer edge, 6 in below the ceiling, and at least 20 in from corners, vents, doors and windows. If the wall won't allow that, it mounts on the ceiling at the highest point, 20 in from the heater's edge. The cable run to the main module can't exceed 32 ft, connecting at terminals T1 and T2.
Check your UKU version
HUUM's UKU 4.2 uses a different pair of sensors, a safety sensor and a bench sensor (HUUM parts SP0160 and SP0161). If your system has those, this isn't your part.
