GRANDMA, Engraved Soapstone
A Karelian soapstone sauna rock engraved GRANDMA, carved in Finland by Hukka. Sits among the heater stones like any other rock, and heats like one.
This sauna gift goes into the heater: a soapstone rock with GRANDMA carved into the face, sitting among the regular stones where she will see it every session.
Why soapstone takes the heat
Hukka's Karelian soapstone is quarried from bedrock over 2.8 billion years old. It can withstand hot fire as well as the cold of frost. A rock in a heater is the harshest place you can put an engraved object, which is why this one is stone rather than wood or metal.
Every one is different
Soapstone is natural, so each piece is unique. No chemicals are added during manufacture.
