Due to its density, soapstone stores both heat and cold, which is why it works as a massage stone. Warm one on the sauna bench and it holds that warmth.

Two surfaces, two jobs

The smooth face is for working tension out of tired muscle with long, flowing strokes. The textured face exfoliates. The shape fits comfortably in your hand.

Warming it

Leave it on a bench in the sauna, or heat it in hot water. If it gets too warm, cool it under fresh water until it is comfortable to hold.

Care

Rinse with water after use. Mild soap if it needs it. Add a massage oil if you want more glide.

Karelian soapstone, made in Tuupovaara, Finland by Hukka Design. No chemicals are added to the stone.
