Nystad's sachets bring the scent of birch to your sauna: ground Finnish birch leaves in a biodegradable bag, steeped in your bucket like a tea bag.

How to use them

Drop one sachet into your sauna bucket and fill it with hot water. Let it steep for at least 20 minutes, then ladle it over the stones the way you would plain water. The scent comes up with the steam, and the sachet stays in the bucket rather than going anywhere near the heater.

What is actually in it

100% natural ground birch leaves from Finland. Nothing else. Nystad Sauna Company is a Finnish maker working with Finnish birch leaves and herbs, and the sachets are handmade there.

The packaging

Three sachets per box. The sachet itself is biodegradable and the box recycles with paper and cardboard.

The other two

The same base leaf comes with peppermint and with lavender. Both are also available.
