The KIP is a simple heater to install. Harvia builds the time and temperature controls into the unit itself: two dials, no wall controller. Three wall-mounted sizes cover rooms from 100 to 424 cu ft, all made in Finland.

Ready without a controller

The left dial sets temperature. The right dial turns the heater on and doubles as a delay timer you can set up to 8 hours ahead, so the sauna is hot when you get home. It shuts itself off after 60 minutes of operation. If you don't want app control and extra components, this is the simple pick.

Three sizes

• KIP45B, 4.5 kW: 100 to 211 cu ft
• KIP60B, 6 kW: 169 to 300 cu ft
• KIP80B, 8 kW: 251 to 424 cu ft

Electrical requirements

240V single-phase, 60 Hz. Minimum fuse sizes run 18.8 A on the 4.5 kW and 25 A on the 6 kW, both on 10 AWG wire; the 8 kW needs 33.4 A on 8 AWG. Hardwired by a licensed electrician.

Cool outer wall

Harvia's dual-wall construction keeps the exterior cool to the touch, and a protective stone guard is included. The heater mounts vertically with the included bracket and needs a minimum 6.56 ft ceiling. It takes 44 lbs of stones at 5 to 10 cm, and pairs with a safety railing.
