The HIVE Mini is HUUM's floor-standing electric sauna heater, a smaller version of the full HIVE. It stands 29.5 in tall on adjustable legs and carries 150 kg (330 lb) of stone, the heaviest load in our residential lineup. Three sizes run from 6 to 10.6 kW, all controlled by HUUM's UKU system.

Built around the stones

HUUM uses very little metal in its heaters, so most of the heat comes from the stones themselves. Pour water and 330 lb of thermal mass turns it into mild, long-lasting steam. Every model from 2025 on ships with the air tunnel installed, which cuts heat-up time by 25% and extends element life.

Sizing the three models

• 6 kW heats 177 to 318 cu ft
• 9 kW heats 283 to 459 cu ft
• 10.6 kW heats 353 to 565 cu ft

Glass walls or a ceiling over 7 ft push you up a size.

Electrical requirements

240V single-phase across the range. The 6 kW takes a 30 A breaker on 10 AWG wire. The 9 kW takes 50 A on 8 AWG. The 10.6 kW takes 50 A on 6 AWG. Hardwiring is a job for a licensed electrician.

What you'll add

The UKU control runs the heater, in glass, classic, or wood panel finishes. HUUM sauna stones and a safety railing are both available too; HUUM strongly recommends a railing for safety and comfort. You'll need 150 kg of stone, 5 to 10 cm across, to fill it. The HIVE Mini can also be embedded into a bench with at least 14 in protruding above the surface.
