Simple, timeless lines define the Narvi NC, a wood burning sauna heater that fits a traditional or modern sauna equally well. Black paint covers the casing, matched by a black cast iron glass door, and wooden handles add contrast. Each NC stove is handmade in Finland.

How it burns

Large stone volume and durable construction give an even, pleasant sauna bath. Despite its size, the stove does not need a lot of firewood to heat up. Inside, the fire chamber has a novel form for more efficient, cleaner combustion and meets CE marking requirements.

Sizing

NC 16: 282 to 565 cu ft (8 to 16 m³), 110 lbs (50 kg) of stones.

NC 20: 353 to 706 cu ft (10 to 20 m³), 132 lbs (60 kg) of stones.

NC 24: 353 to 847 cu ft (10 to 24 m³), 176 lbs (80 kg) of stones.

Installation

Levelling is easy with adjustable feet. Included in the box is a pipe for rear chimney connection; a top connection uses a separately available pipe. Either route joins a traditional brick chimney or a modern steel flue through a 4.7 in (119 mm) outlet. Keep at least 6 in (150 mm) at the sides and rear, 20 in (500 mm) in front and 48 to 50 in (1200 to 1250 mm) above, depending on the model. Narvi requires its installation base on a combustible or tiled floor.

Stones

For home use, Narvi recommends olivine diabase or vulcanite sauna stones of 4 to 6 in (10 to 15 cm). It pairs with rocks, a chimney adapter, chimney, floor plate and back wall shield.
