Some sauna rooms don't have 14 inches to give. The Revive Slim is Homecraft's answer: a 13 x 7.5 x 36 in stainless tower that fits where full-size heaters won't, and drops to a 1 in clearance with the wall baffle. Two sizes, 5 and 6 kW, made in Canada.

Built for tight framing

At 7.5 in deep, the Slim suits small and narrow rooms. Standard clearance to combustibles is 3.5 in. Add the wall baffle, Homecraft's heat shield for the Slim, and it drops to 1 in. Inside, it's built to the same standard as the full Revive, with protected elements and 100 lbs of rock.

• 5 kW heats 100 to 250 cu ft

Electrical requirements

240V single-phase on both. The 5 kW takes a 30 amp breaker, the 6 kW takes 40 amp. Licensed electrician required for the hookup. ETL listed to CSA and UL standards.

Controls, baffle, and rocks

Four things go with the heater: the control, the wall baffle that buys back clearance, the installation trim kit, and the rocks. The Slim takes 100 lbs, which is 4 boxes of Homecraft sauna rocks at 2 to 5 in. Homecraft's manual says to use rocks sourced or provided by Homecraft; other rocks void the heater warranty.
