A vihta is the part of Finnish sauna that most people outside Finland never try, because a traditional birch whisk means gathering branches, and a used one means leaves stuck to every surface in the room. The Relax whisk solves both. It's handmade in Finland by a family business, and it works session after session.

What whisking does

You wet the whisk in your bucket and beat lightly from shoulders to feet. It stimulates circulation and loosens tense muscles, and the physical sensation is what people mean when they talk about a full Finnish sauna rather than just sitting in heat. Add a few drops of sauna essence to the bucket water and you get the scent too.

Why this one instead of birch

Anyone allergic to birch can use it. Nothing sheds, so there's no sweeping afterwards. It's made from PE-LD, a food-grade plastic rated from -10 to +90°C, and at the end of its life the material can be recycled or sent to energy waste.

Cleaning and size

Put a few drops of mild detergent on the whisk while you're washing, lather, rinse, and hang to dry. For a deeper clean, soak it in water and vinegar. Total length 50 cm.
