Sesame is one of the four Livos ALIS colours we stock: a 3-in-1 exterior oil that protects and stains an outdoor sauna in one application.

What one can does

Sealer, protective oil and stain in a single product. Three jobs, one application.

Nothing to peel off

The oil penetrates the timber rather than forming a film across it, so there is no surface layer to chip, flake or lift. Refinishing is a clean and a thin coat, with no sanding unless the surface is damaged.

Protection

UV protection to hold off discolouration and weather resistance in all conditions.

Applying it

Bare, clean, dry wood. Roller, brush or spray gun. Allow 12 to 24 hours between coats. Not for use over paint, stain or varnish.

Coverage

Coverage depends on the surface: rough-sawn or profiled boards take considerably more oil than planed or sanded ones, and the rougher the wood, the darker the finished colour. Test on an offcut first.

Light Teak, Black and Bongossi are the other three we carry. For the inside of the hot room, MELDOS is the correct product; ALIS is for exterior surfaces only.
