Refill for a Softer and More Balanced Sauna Experience
KIUASSUOLA™ Sauna Ritual Salt is designed as a refill product for continued sauna use, bringing a softer, more balanced and atmospheric sauna experience through natural interaction with heat and steam.
Used together with ILMARI KUURA™, the salt responds gradually to sauna heat and humidity, becoming part of the sauna atmosphere over time.
Fragrance-free and additive-free, KIUASSUOLA™ is based on pure natural mineral salts - offering a calm and authentic alternative to more intensive sauna products.
How It Works
Once the previous salt has been almost completely used, a new KIUASSUOLA™ Sauna Ritual Salt is placed into the ILMARI KUURA™ base, allowing the experience to continue naturally as part of regular sauna use.
Sauna water is poured normally onto the sauna stones, not directly onto the base. The natural moisture reaching the product is sufficient to activate the salt.
This helps maintain:
- A softer sauna rhythm
- Longer salt lifespan
- More stable soapstone temperature
One KIUASSUOLA™ Sauna Ritual Salt typically lasts approximately two months with sauna use twice per week.
Refill & Maintenance
The ILMARI KUURA™ base includes a small safety margin for moisture and water. A new salt should be added once the previous one has been almost fully used.
When only a small amount of salt remains, it can either be:
- Evaporated during sauna use with a small amount of hot water
- Removed from the cooled base with water before placing a new salt
Refilling also naturally supports checking the condition of the soapstone base as part of long-term use.
